Chris Floyd

Managing Partner & Senior Recruiter Chris Floyd is a former professional chef who founded CRR in 2004. After graduating from the Culinary Institute of America, he settled in San Francisco, where he began his culinary career. He worked his way up in the fine-dining scene, learning from some of the best, including Michael Mina at Aqua and French chef Alain Rondelli. Both restaurants received four stars from the SF Chronicle. Chris later became the chef at Silks in the Mandarin Oriental Hotel. During his tenure there, he had the good fortune to train and travel in Asia. He later ran the busy French brasserie Left Bank, founded by Roland Passot. After a decade in San Francisco, Chris returned to his hometown of Washington, DC with his young family in tow. His convivial nature and passion for food inspired him to open CRR. He has grown the company over the past 20 years to include front-of-the-house and back-of-the-house recruiting specialists and a robust temp staffing division. In addition to serving as CRR’s Managing Partner, Chris also supports the CRR Recruiting Team as a Senior Recruiter, recruiting all levels of restaurant hospitality management, from pastry chefs to F&B directors and everything in between. He believes in a hands-on approach to recruiting and enjoys getting to know both clients and candidates and understanding where they are in their careers and in their lives. A successful placement for him is one that results in a perfect fit—where both the client and the candidate can find success together. As a DMV native, Chris takes pride in the successes of CRR and the team in being the go-to recruiting firm in the DC region. He is proud of the accomplishments of the many hospitality chefs and managers that CRR has placed in DC and around the country. He is also excited about the growth of CRR’s District Staffing and future of CRR as a Certified Business Entity (CBE) in the District of Columbia.

Joe Riescher

Director of District Staffing Joe established District Staffing, CRR’s temp staffing division, combining customer-focused leadership with a deep respect for temp staffing personnel. His extensive hospitality experience provides valuable insight into what clients need and expect from their temp staffing service. Joe finds developing long-term relationships with clients and supporting staff development to be the most rewarding part of his career. Joe brings expertise in staffing and offsite catering operations and management to CRR. During his 8 years as the Director of Personnel for Purple Tie by Ridgewells, he personally interviewed and hired all outside catering staff, which averaged a cadre of 400. His experience includes providing the catering staff of the US Open Golf Tournament six times with staffs as large as 750 in six different cities and staffing two seasons of Washington football at FedEx Field (Suites, Owner's Club and Loge). He regularly managed staff assignments and onsite execution of events and was responsible for all staff discipline issues. He is well versed in the use of e-Verify and mediating Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) matters. Joe has hands-on restaurant experience, including serving as the Director of Operations and Business Development at Kushi Izakaya, where he developed and implemented operational procedures for this James Beard-nominated restaurant. He facilitated large groups and banquet requests and expanded offsite catering operations. He also spent 9 years in management at Ark Restaurants, where he worked in catering and restaurant management for Sequoia and supported the opening of 3 new Ark locations.

Shana Mckillop-Kady

Director of Recruiting Originally from Ithaca, NY, Shana felt a calling towards hospitality and service at a young age. Like so many of us, she began her career in the industry washing dishes for a busy Italian restaurant. Now, 30 years later, her many experiences have grown into a deep dedication to people and to the industry that essentially raised her. These days, Shana plays a central role in all things recruiting—whether you're a FOH professional, a BOH professional, or a client, she will be happy to chat and figure out just how CRR can help! Shana's enthusiasm for hospitality is palpable and she can easily detect that same passion in others when interviewing candidates. Connecting qualified, ambitious professionals with our clients and seeing those relationships grow into successful long-term partnerships is her motivation. When she's not dining out and networking, you will probably find her enjoying some live music, browsing a farmers’ market, or at home in the kitchen creating something delicious to eat.

James Duke

Recruiter Born and raised in the DMV, James began his restaurant career in his hometown of Old Town Alexandria at the age of 15. Working his way through high school and college studying industrial-organizational Psychology, he realized his heart was in hospitality. At 21, James switched gears and enrolled in L'Academie de Cuisine, Gaithersburg, MD. He instantly fell in love with French cuisine and the culture that surrounds food. After graduating with honors from L'Academie, he went on to train at some of the area's most successful restaurant groups, including the James Beard award-winning Bistro Bis, the Neighborhood Restaurant Group, Clyde’s Restaurant Group, and Great American Restaurants. In addition to working in these long-standing restaurants, James assisted in the opening of 12 DC area independent restaurants. James comes to CRR after serving as the Director of Culinary at Stellina Pizzeria, which was awarded Bib Gourmand Michelin during his tenure. At Stellina, he learned that the secret to a successful restaurant was not always beautiful dining rooms and well-crafted food, but the people behind the scenes. James now has a passion for helping Chefs find their next exciting role, lending his professional network and industry knowledge to staffing the DMV’s finest restaurants. He always loves meeting new chefs and helping them find the right fit.

Peer Larson

Recruiter Originally from Washington DC, Peer moved to Los Angeles after college to become the next Leonardo DiCaprio. Finding rent difficult to pay he began serving and bartending to make ends meet. He was given an opportunity in management and something clicked as he was quickly promoted to GM within his first few months. Seeing that hospitality was in his blood he switched gears to grow his career. This brought him back to Washington DC to work for world renowned chef Jose Andres. Through this partnership Peer was given the opportunity to relocate to San Diego to manage luxury brand restaurants. He was then given the opportunity to move back to Los Angeles and expand his knowledge within the nightlife sector of hospitality. Eager to start a family he and his wife moved to Austin, Texas where he was exposed to the world of hotels and multi-unit management. After the birth of his daughter he realized that family support is paramount and moved yet again to Asheville, North Carolina to be closer to family, where he settled into a little house in the mountains. Since becoming a father, Peer has embraced all things dad, including sweaters and terrible jokes. Peer is obsessed with BBQ and can be found spending nearly all of his spare time feeding his neighbors smoked meats.

Joe Griffin

Staffing Manager, District Staffing Joe, known affectionately as Joe G, has been working in hospitality for more than 15 years. Originally from Alabama, Joe served as HR Manager and Personnel Manager at Naman's Catering, where he was responsible for hiring, training and managing up to 100 employees. He responded to employees’ issues and questions in a timely manner and ensured compliance with all local, state and federal labor and employment regulations. Joe G also brings hands-on experience in catering to CRR, having served as an Onsite Events Coordinator for more than a decade. After relocating to DC in 2018, Joe G served as a Staffing Associate with Purple Tie, the staffing division of Ridgewells Catering. He assisted in hiring, training, and scheduling up to 500 employees. After joining CRR’s District Staffing in 2021, he has focused on building connections with our temp staffing personnel to ensure that our personnel understand their assignments and that our client’s needs are met. Beyond the scheduling and staff development, Joe G also is responsible for CRR’s staffing contract compliance. He performs all necessary background checks, e-Verify requirements, and professional licensing and certification verifications.

Lauren Delaney

Office Manager & Recruiting Coordinator Originally from New Jersey, Lauren now calls our nation’s capital home. Before joining CRR, she spent 12 years in the DC food scene, holding positions as server, bartender, manager, and private dining coordinator at a variety of restaurants, from upscale to neighborhood dives. Her firsthand knowledge of the diverse DC hospitality industry and its key players makes her a valuable resource to employers and job seekers. Lauren will often be your first point of contact when working with the CRR team, and her welcoming personality, crafted from years behind a bar, will make you feel comfortable as you begin your job search. While she often describes herself as the first person to die in the zombie apocalypse or the person who can’t find her keys to unlock the door when a murderer is chasing her in a scary movie, the one thing she isn’t afraid of is helping candidates find their next job.
